Multi Level Marketing Definition – What is Multi Level Marketing Really?

Ooooh! We are touching a hot subject today that I love to talk about: multi level marketing definition. Many people, when they hear those words, they think: pyramid schemes, illegal, scams, etc. Yet, this makes me laugh so much because many of these thoughts are misconceptions. I’m going to clear those myths today and show you nice explanations around the multi level marketing definition. Here we go…

What is multi level marketing?

Multi level marketing definition: A system made so the products are moved from a network of distributors to the consumer. Being a distributor, you make money by selling the product to any consumers and you earn money as well when you convert a consumer into a distributor (recruiting). Every new distributors you enroll, and every of them enrolling new ones form your downline. This is a word from the MLM vocabulary. But yes, when you take a look at the whole thing, this becomes a pyramid. Every time products are bought and every time people are recruited in your “downline”, you receive commissions from all the levels.

You just admitted that it’s all about a pyramid scheme!

Absolutely! And it is! Now, this is not because the MLM business model is a pyramid that it is a scam or illegal. You see, this is where I find funny all those pyramid misconceptions that I have heard through the years. Think about that for a moment. Where do you work now? Do you work for a small enterprise or a large corporation? Unless you are jobless, guess what folks, you are involved in pyramid schemes. The capitalist business model is just built this way…

For an example just take a pen and a paper and think about the people involved in a corporation. Draw a circle for the owner. Now, draw two other circles underneath him and write “president” and “vice president”. Write few circles under them and now you have the corporate management positions. A few circles under them and you have the store managers. Then you have the sale reps, etc. All of these employees at the bottom do the dirty work so the level above them gets paid, so the level above that level get paid, and so on, until the top. People don’t realize that unless we are our own rep, everyone works in a pyramid!

Now on the internet, what you have to understand is that in order to be legal, multi level marketing companies have to move a product. Remember the multi level marketing definition! So when you base your income solely on recruiting people and that those people don’t have any products to use, we can talk about illegal pyramid schemes. Unfortunately, many of these scams exist on the net.

But can you make money with a multi level marketing business?

Yes! Of course! But to really become wealthy in this industry, you have to expose your business to the entire planet. Not just in front of your friends and your family. Yet, so many multi level marketers use old fashion marketing, use words of mouths marketing. Well, that is not bad. Words of mouth can be really viral. But in how many time do you want your business to explode? In 4 years? What about some months instead? Create your own website and start doing online marketing. Many MLM opportunities can permit you to not stock your products so you don’t have to ship them. Wouldn’t be great to profit of that and having phone calls from all around the world?

What is the Affiliate Marketing Definition?

Some do not understand affiliate marketing 100%, so here is the affiliate marketing definition…

… Affiliate marketing is a marketing practice that is carried out on the internet and has proven to be quite profitable for many.

What it involves is recruiting people called affiliates. These affiliates will take an ad with a special link in it that has been created by the merchant and the affiliate will place this ad on their website or other webpage.

They are marketing the product or service of the merchant the moment they do this.

Payment

The affiliate marketing definition doesn’t stop with how an individual markets. It also includes how the affiliate gets paid.

There are several ways in which individuals are paid. The first way they are paid, according to the affiliate marketing definition, is on a per sale basis.

This means that the affiliate is only paid when a sale is made. That sale has to originate from the link that is on the affiliate’s page.

There used to be the method called “Cost per click,” which has been diminishing over the years. This is because there is this problem called “click fraud.”

An affiliate would simply be paid because a visitor would click on their link. However, many individuals were either clicking themselves or having others click on the links without the intention of ever buying anything from the merchant.

The last way to get paid according to the affiliate marketing definition is “cost per action.” This is when an affiliate is paid for any action by a potential customer.

This can be a purchase, signing up for a newsletter, or being added to a mailing list. Only about 19% of affiliate marketing compensation plans consist of this method. 80% pay their affiliates for sales only.

Variations of affiliate marketing

The affiliate marketing definition also points out that there are different variations of affiliate marketing.

There are what’s called two-tier affiliate marketing and multi-tier affiliate marketing. Both of these consist of recruiting other affiliates and gaining a commission off of their sales as well.

This has been proven to be quite profitable for many individuals. When you’re on that first tier, you reap excellent benefits and the effects trickle down to others as they recruit affiliates to be a part of the tier.

So if you’re looking for a way to make money on the internet, affiliate marketing is a great way to do that.

Just be mindful of the company you’re dealing with and the product or service you are marketing for them.

What Do All These Mobile Marketing Definitions Mean?

To many people, the term mobile marketing is often thought of as simply some form of advertisement sent to a mobile phone from a company or advertising service. At one point, this definition might have been correct, but mobile marketing has moved far beyond the simple act of delivering an advertisement to a mobile phone. In fact, the term mobile marketing can now be considered something of an umbrella term to cover all the aspects of delivering or receiving information with their target audience through a mobile device. The Mobile Marketing Association has recently updated their definition of mobile marketing to show this change.

Their definition states: “Mobile Marketing is a set of practices that enables organizations to communicate and engage with their audience in an interactive and relevant manner through any mobile device or network.” Increasingly, mobile marketers are shifting from pushing content to the consumer to a new model which is more interactive and engages with the consumer in an interesting or meaningful way.

There are many advertising methods which fall under the category of mobile marketing:

* Mobile Web Marketing

* Location Based Services

* SMS (short message service)

* MMS (multimedia message service)

* In-Game Marketing

What Other Types Of Advertisements And Mobile Marketing Definitions Do You Need To Know To Succeed?
Mobile web marketing consists of serving advertisements on websites specifically designed for mobile devices. This is a very common form of mobile advertisements and has been steadily growing. Many people access the internet through their smartphones and these phones do not usually have a full-scale browser to view the webpages. In order to accommodate this, the owners of the websites create customized versions of their webpages which are specifically suited to being viewed in the browsers of mobile phones. Since these pages are not the same as the regular webpages, new advertisements are provided for them. Advertising on these mobile web pages ensures that the ads are viewed by those using mobile devices. Usually, if clicked, these ads will take the viewer to the mobile optimised page of the advertiser. Companies like Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft are among the largest companies selling advertising space on their mobile content pages, specifically on their search pages.

A location-based service is one that allows an advertiser to send advertisements or other information to a mobile device based on its physical location. Location based services are offered by cell phone networks which are able to track the general location of a mobile phone user through the process of triangulation. If the mobile phone user has their GPS system turned on, that will also serve to identify their location in a much more specific way. Once the network is able to find out where the user is, the advertiser can send out an ad-based on that location. For example, if someone is walking down a street with a Starbucks on the corner, the location-based service can recognize that the person is near a Starbucks and send them an advertisement for the store. A more passive version of this is to locate a physical base station in a specific location. When someone comes into the vicinity that has authorized the network to send them messages, the base station can send location specific information or advertisements to their mobile device.

SMS marketing are advertisements served through text messages. This is a very common form of mobile marketing and one that can work in both directions. Advertisers can send messages to a network of mobile users all at once, while mobile users can send text messages back to the advertiser’s short code. The short code is the 5 or 6 digit number than many advertisers use in their SMS communications. One common example is after the earthquake struck Haiti, people were encouraged to text a message to 90999. That five digit number is the short code for the American Red Cross. The short code numbers are valid for all mobile carriers in a specific nation. They tend to be expensive so generally they are used by larger businesses.

MMS marketing is similar to SMS marketing but allows for more than simple text messages. Users can send pictures, video, or audio as well as texts to the company running the campaign. In some instances this can be used in real-time, such as Motorola joining with the House of Blues to provide real-time photos of concerts on a screen next to the stage.

In-game marketing are increasingly common with the rise in popularity of online games. One of the more common uses for in-game marketing are to provide relevant advertisements to a target population. For example, car companies often place in-game advertisements as banners in car racing games to advertise their brand or a specific car. This looks like it is part of the game, but the placement has been paid for. Another form for marketing is sponsorships of events or statistics. For example, Old Spice sponsors a statistic in the football game Madden 11 called Swagger. This coincided with the release of their new deodorant, also called Swagger.

As shown by the Mobile Marketing Association’s definition, mobile marketing covers a wide spectrum of activities. When mobile technology shifts and grows, the definition of mobile marketing has to grow along with it.

Mobile marketing can be difficult to wrap your head around at first. You must seek out the best in the business for their knowledge and expertise if you really want to take full advantage of this emerging media.

Marketing Definition by T Harv Eker

There are so many concepts of marketing nowadays and each of them may be just fine, but T. Harv Eker is giving you marketing definition that is going to change your business drastically for good.

T. Harv Eker is an author, businessman and motivational speaker known for his theories on wealth and motivation. He is the author of the book “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind”. Harv really knows what he is talking about when his lessons focus on marketing definition.

T. Harv Eker gives his great perspectives on marketing strategies that are meant to help you build your business worldwide. He shows you his way of looking at marketing definition.

According to Eker, most business people think that marketing is mostly compromised of getting people’s initial interest. Of course, this is a huge part of the success, but not the only one. Marketing tends to have two ends, so to speak. And if you want to become a successful person, you must try and understand both sides of marketing. Not only should you get them right, but also you must implement the knowledge into your business opportunity.

What is the true marketing definition then? Well, marketing is actually a double-edged business strategy. Yes, it is true you have to get the customers in the door the first time. No doubt about it. But you must know that it costs a lot and it is time-consuming process of your marketing.

T. Harv Eker wants you to be aware of the fact that it costs several times more to gain a new customer than to keep the one you already have. The thing is so many business people focus all their energy on finding new prospects or customers. And this is only one edge of marketing. That isn’t the only part of marketing definition.

In order to achieve all your strategic goals in sales, you must pay much more attention to the other end of modern marketing.

The second part of marketing definition is all about putting your effort to keep the existing customers in the game.
You should do what it takes to keep them satisfied and happy about your products. Do you feel this kind of marketing definition already? If now, listen closely.

You need to understand that offering one product to a new customer is great, but not offering more, different or newer products keeps them a one-timer. So have the truth in mind and try to feel this marketing definition. It will help you to get from life more and attract the success you deserve.

What is the most important difference between unsuccessful businesses and successful ones? Unsuccessful businesses fail to follow up with additional products or services, while successful businesses have a variety of offerings in their sleeves.

If you want to lift your business on the higher level of success, start delivering more products and services to the same people, not forgetting about new customers at the same time. Make this marketing definition alive in the attempts to your greatness.

The point is if you are able to get your customers’ attention and interest for a long time, you are on your way to build the most valuable asset in business. Trust. Trustful enough, you can take advantage of your business in the long term. And this is what successful business is all about. The most useful marketing definition for the hard times we have right now.

Once again, modern marketing definition focuses on two ends of your business.

One end of your marketing strategy is to get first-timers in the door and the other end of marketing definition is to have powerful products and services that you can offer once they’re in.
